Other Industries: Also used in papermaking and food industries to monitor flames during production processes.
4. Operating Principle
The RS-FS-9001 adopts a silicon carbide (SiC) ultraviolet (UV) sensor, which determines the presence of a flame by detecting the ultraviolet radiation emitted by the flame.
When the ultraviolet radiation generated by the flame passes through the sapphire window of the detector, it is focused by the lens onto a hermetically packaged silicon carbide photodiode. The photodiode then converts the ultraviolet signal into an electrical signal.
The internal circuit of the detector processes and analyzes the electrical signal. If the intensity of the electrical signal reaches a preset threshold, it is determined that a flame exists, and corresponding signals (such as 4-20mA current signal or contact signal) are output to trigger an alarm or control related equipment.
